Ultra Large Universal Cutting Head — Artero Wide Blades
Artero Wide 7WF 3.2mm Cutting Head — A5 wide blade for professional clippers
Benefits
The Artero Wide 7WF clipper head was designed to save time without sacrificing the finish. Its extended cutting width covers approximately 35% more surface area than a standard A5 blade, allowing for fewer passes on the body, sides, and flat areas, reducing fatigue and heat buildup in the coat. The 3.2 mm cutting height is equivalent to a #7F blade, ideal for a short, clean result on many breeds not typically trimmed with scissors. The precision-machined tooth profile minimizes snagging and promotes smooth gliding for an even finish. Made from professional-grade stainless steel, the 7WF retains its edge longer and withstands repeated sharpening cycles with proper maintenance. Its A5 Snap-On compatibility makes it suitable for a wide range of professional-grade clippers, ensuring a secure investment for multi-brand grooming teams. The result: faster shearing of medium to large dogs, smooth work in maintenance preparation, and consistent cutting quality even on dense coats that have been previously brushed and thinned.
Use
Always prepare the coat: bath, thorough drying, brushing/carding, and combing down to the skin. Attach the Wide 7WF blade to the A5 clipper, oil the rail and sides before starting, and then every 10–15 minutes. Work the body in the direction of hair growth, using long, parallel strokes without excessive pressure; let the 7WF width do the work to smooth out larger areas. On shoulders, chest, or thighs, reduce the angle and slow down slightly to maintain a consistent line. Avoid cutting directly into tight matting: first open the plates with a comb or carding brush to protect the skin. Frequently check the blade temperature and alternate with a second oiled blade if necessary while the first cools. Finish delicate areas (hollows, joints, ears) with a narrower blade if needed. Clean at the end of your session: blow out with compressed air/brush, use cleaning spray, wipe dry, oil, and then store away from moisture.
