The baths

Depending on the texture of the hair, the frequency of baths varies; short hairs should therefore be washed only when they are dirty, short hairs twice a year on average and long hairs approximately every three months.

Small dogs can be washed in a baby tub or tub, and large dogs in the tub or outside (weather permitting). A rubber mat will prevent uncontrolled slips that could permanently injure or frighten the dog. Lukewarm water should be used as well as a special shampoo for canine skin. Products intended for humans (even for infants!) Are too acidic and irritate the skin.

Bathing your dog
The coat should be brushed before starting the bath to loosen knots. Wet the entire body of the dog. Lather the shampoo, paying attention to the ears and eyes; leave to act for a few minutes then rinse thoroughly. It is better to rinse the head last, otherwise the dog may shake himself. Thoroughly pat dry the dog and leave it in a warm room. In summer, it is possible to leave the dog outside or take it for a walk if it does not tend to roll around. If the dog can stand it, it can be dried with a dryer: you have to be careful not to burn it and to brush it while drying it.
