Choose the best grooming table (Discount price is not a selection criterion)
An essential tool for any groomer, the grooming table is an important element of your salon or office. Indeed, it is on this piece of equipment that all the most important steps of grooming an animal will take place (from detangling to drying, including scissor cuts).
Before making a purchase, several criteria will be crucial in your decision-making process:
• First, consider the structure: do you think a fixed base would be the most logical choice for your needs? Will you need the upright to allow you to raise and lower the animals (this will be especially important if you frequently handle animals)? large dogs. ...fans of giant races, remember that!)?
If so, do you think a hydraulic lift will be sufficient and comfortable enough for daily use? Won't you quickly tire of pumping like a madman? There are electric lifting systems available for your grooming tables. With manual or foot control, you can control all movements and achieve optimal working ergonomics. You adjust the height according to the individual you're grooming, and your back will thank you in a few years!
• The grooming table itself: don't neglect its size, shape, or movement options. Don't make a beginner's mistake by buying a dog grooming table that isn't suitable for your dog. breeds that you will have to wash and then dry.. Some grooming tables and stands may have shapes other than rectangular: while round tables are particularly useful for grooming small dogs easily and quickly, without having to move... others prefer "bone shapes" which allow the groomer to get as close as possible to the dog and cat on the table.
• The coating: it must always be non-slip to prevent animals from getting into an uncomfortable situation! However, pay attention to the height of this coating; how many groomers have been disappointed with their finishes around the paws because of adhesive coatings that were too bulky, preventing them from making proper paw circles.
• Pedestrian support: double or single, the pedestal will be very useful, especially for agitated animals that have an unfortunate tendency to systematically turn around during the most crucial stages: scissor cuts and finishing touches, but also nail trimming or risky detangling.
